Blogging Guidelines

Our Blogging Guidelines:

  • Never post or share personal information online. Or your friends’ personal information.
  • Never share your Internet passwords with anyone except your parents.
  • Never meet anyone face-to-face whom you only know online.
  • Never use your name online. Use an avatar and an alias.
  • Use comments to show what you think is important, interesting, controversial, and thoughtful.
  • Constructive criticism only. Critique the idea, not the person.
  • Respect other people and their opinions and ideas.
  • Use good grammar and spelling and make sure you proofread and edit your work.
  • Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Parents:

  • Ensure parents will be asked to ensure that their blog comments protect their child’s identity, for example, commenting as “Sarah’s Mum” rather than “Mrs Smith”.
  • All blog comments will be moderated by classroom teachers to ensure that inappropriate comments are edited or removed prior to publication. Please be aware your comment may not appear immediately.
  • If you need to contact the team or your child’s teacher please use their Edumail to ensure a swift response.
